Try-On Terms

These terms apply to the "See it on your sofa" try-on tool on slickinterior.com (the "Try-On"). The Try-On is operated by Slick Interior, 1712 Pioneer Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA ("Slick Interior", "we", "us"). By uploading or taking a photo in the Try-On, you agree to these terms, as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not upload a photo.

1. What the Try-On does

You upload a photo of your sofa and choose a cover color. Our tool then generates a picture of how your sofa could look with that cover (the "Preview").

Previews are computer-generated illustrations, not photographs. Colors, textures, fit and proportions may differ from the real product. A Preview is not a promise about how the cover will look or fit on your sofa, and it is not part of any order. Please use our size guide to choose sizes.

2. Photos you may upload

Only upload a photo that you took yourself, or that you have the right to use and to share with us. Your photo should show your sofa, not people. Please do not upload photos that show:

  • people, especially children, or anyone's face;
  • personal information, such as documents, screens, addresses, house numbers or license plates;
  • anything illegal, offensive, explicit, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Try-On.

3. Rights to your photo and to the Preview

Your uploaded photo. By uploading a photo, you grant Slick Interior a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable and sublicensable right to use the photo in any way, without paying you or naming you. This includes the right to store, copy, edit, crop, adapt, publish, display and distribute it, and to combine it with other content.

The Preview. Every Preview is created by our tool and belongs to Slick Interior. We may use it freely. You may save and share your own Preview for personal, non-commercial use.

Use on our website and in promotion. You agree that we may show your uploaded photo and your Preview, before and after:

  • on our website, including the public "customer previews" gallery on our product pages;
  • on social media, in advertising, emails and other promotional and marketing material, in any format and medium.

We do not show your name or contact details with your photos.

Your promise to us. You confirm that you have all the rights needed to grant these rights, and that our use of your photo will not infringe anyone's rights. You agree to cover our losses if a claim arises because you uploaded a photo you did not have the right to share.

4. How your photo is processed and stored

  • Storage: your photo and your Preview are stored on our servers. They can be reached at a public web address, and they may appear in our public gallery.
  • Image processing: to create the Preview, your photo and the selected fabric are sent to Google's Gemini service, which processes them for us.
  • Logs: for security, fair use and troubleshooting, we keep a technical log of Try-On requests for 90 days. It holds the time, your IP address, your browser type and whether the request worked. The log does not contain the images.
  • Your browser: your recent Previews are kept in your own browser so you can view them again. You can clear them by clearing your browser data.

5. Removing your photo

You can ask us to remove your photo and Preview from our website gallery at any time. Email support@slickinterior.com and include the date of your upload and the color you chose, or a screenshot of the Preview. We will remove it from the gallery within 30 days.

Material that is already published, such as ads or social media posts, may stay online until it naturally expires. We are not able to recall copies that other people have already made.

6. Fair use

The Try-On is free, and it is limited to a few Previews per device each day. We may limit, pause, change or stop the Try-On at any time. We may also remove any photo or Preview at our own discretion.

7. No warranty, limitation of liability

The Try-On is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Slick Interior is not liable for any decision you make based on a Preview, or for any loss arising from your use of the Try-On. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by law.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The version shown on this page when you upload a photo applies to that upload. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wyoming, in the same way as our Terms of Service.
